"How everything began"

The origins of our company were completely different than what are we are today. The idea for a company was born during one of the gray winter evenings in Bergen. We both came back from a long trip on the sunny coast of Asia and Antipodes, and the sun was what we missed the most. We stood with the mugs of coffee in the window looking at the struts of rain falling on the glass and we both clung to the last memories of the golden sand between the toes, the gentle wind between the palm leaves. At that moment, the idea of creating a decoration was born that would allow people to bring back warm memories in such gray evenings as this one.

The combination of glass and fire seemed completely natural when standing with the torches at Festplassen, we celebrated together with the inhabitants of Bergen, Day of the Light. The power of fire and the magic of leaping flames has hypnotized us and convinced us that in this direction we should develop our products. After consultation with artists from the University of Art in Cracow, we have a chance to mix christmas bubbles with lantern. That was it. Our first project "Bryggen" caught the exhibitors' attention during the Christmas fair in Frankfurt. And it turned out to be a hit at the first Christmas market in Bergen.

Intuition did not disappoint us.

The combination of pictures of Norwegian landscapes painted on glass with a flame in the middle, gives them life and takes us to distant places that we have long hidden behind everyday thoughts. Lanterns made us aware of the Norwegian market. In 2018, we were invited to all the festive markets in the south of Norway. However, due to the fact that the process of creating each of the lanterns is individual, starting from blowing hot glass into appropriate shapes, ending with the last impressions, we can only participate in three. We will be able to meet you this year in Bergen, Egersund and Vennesla.

In the meantime, the company has developed further in the interior design space, by working with designers on new collections of our lanterns. We are inspired to find new solutions and combinations of light and glass, which would allow us to add unique value to Norwegian hotels, apartments and houses.
